Comments: A short evening walk down to the beautiful Loughrigg Tarn.
Walking along the track above the tarn looking up to Loughrigg Fell (the very first mountain I climbed when I was about 8).
The beautiful Loughrigg Tarn with hazy mountains in the background. Thats Wetherlam to the left, Lingmoor Fell to the right, and on the far right in the distance is Bowfell at 902m.
A view looking down the tarn to the unmistakable Langdale Pikes.
Calm waters and reflections.
There are so many memories for me here, this is where I used to come on holiday when I was a child.
A small stream leading into the tarn.
The cross on the shores of the tarn for a young boy who drowned here many years ago.
