Dale Head Tarn
Elevation: 498m (1634ft) Depth: 3ft Apx
Location: East of Dale Head
Dale Head is a small but very pretty tarn just east of Dale Head. It is a perfect location for a rest spot if the planned walk continues up to Dale Head (which is quite a steep ascent!). The quickest route of ascent is from Honister Pass to the south, but a more enjoyable ascent starts with a climb up Catbells and continues along the long ridge to High Spy and down to the tarn.
