| Dow Crag has one of the largest and most famous crags in lakeland. It is an imposing sight when looked at from Goats Water or The Old Man of Coniston. A good scramble is located just to the south of the summit, shown on the OS map as a footpath alongside the major part of the crag. Dow Crag is one of the few peaks only reached by climbing rock, although it is not as difficult as the rocky rummit of Helm Crag. | ||
