| A high peak south of Helvellyn, easily reached from Ambleside or Grasmere. Fairfield is the highest peak, and normally the goal of what is known as the Fairfield Horseshoe. It is also the highest peak south of Helvellyn in the Wainwright Eastern Fells which allows for uninterupted views south over Ambleside, as far south as Blackpool Tower on a clear day. | ||
