Great Mell Fell
Wainwright - The Eastern Fells
Height: 537m (1762ft)
Great Mell Fell is a rounded hill of moderate height in the north eastern lakes. It is not a popular fell and probably mostly climbed by people completing the Wainwrights. The views from the summit are grand though, with a great panorama of Blencathra to the north west, and the pennines to the east. The summit cairn sits on top of an ancient Tumulus.

The slight mound just under the cairn is the ancient tumulus on the summit.
