Lonscale Fell
Wainwright - The Northern Fells
Height: 715m (2346ft)
Lonscale Fell is the eastern shoulder of the Skiddaw fells and towers above the Glenderaterra River. Due to its location, the fell can be seen from the south through the Thirlmere Valley. There are two summits to the fell, the higher having the larger cairn, and the smaller being on Lonscale Pike, just before the sheer drop of crags down to the Glenderaterra River.
