Pike O'Stickle
Wainwright - The Central Fells
Height: 709m (2326ft)
A distinctive peak, and part of the Langdale Pikes, Pike O'Stickle rises steeply from the small valley of Mickleden to a height of over 2300ft. There is a famous area on this peak where Neolithic Flint Axe Heads have been found. It is believed that this area was like an Axe factory as Axe Heads made from this stone have been found all over the country and were some of the best made in those times.
