Pillar
Wainwright - The Western Fells
Height: 892m (2926ft)
Pillar is a high peak in the Western Fells and overlooks the quiet valley of Ennerdale. Its north face is craggy with the infamous Pillar Rock standing as a 500ft tower and is easily seen from the surrounding fells to the north and east. The north face also offers an excellent scrambling route to the summit which can be seen in the map to the left.
