Skiddaw
Wainwright - The Northern Fells
Height: 931m (3054ft)
Skiddaw is the highest peak in the northern fells, and the 4th highest in the Lake District. It is a grand pyramid separated from the main hulk of fells. It is a very popular fell to climb, with most people parking at the end of Gale Road (get there early to find a place to park!). The advantage of parking here is that its already around 300m above sea level.
