| Steel Fell soars high above Dunmail Raise and is just south of Thirlmere. The best route of ascent is from the south via a long ridge that takes you up to the summit, but the best views are from the north side of the fell giving you a full length view of Thirlmere. The summit of the fell is called Dead Pike. | ||
